EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The Hanover County Emergency Communications Department is located in Historical Hanover County, VA the home of Patrick Henry and Henry Clay. The County consists of 471 square miles with a population of just over 100,000. The department serves as the primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for the County and Town of Ashland public safety and public service agencies. The department provides their services through the use of a 800Mhz trunked radio system, enhanced wire line and wireless 911 system, a computer aided dispatch system and the ProQA Protocol’s for EMD and EFD. We are currently implementing a 12-channel, 15-site, P25 Motorola 800 MHz Digital Trunked radio system and new 911 System and are expecting to cutover this system in March 2010. EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS RADIO SYSTEM MANAGER - #22125. Experienced (5 yrs minimum) with managing and overseeing a Trunked Public Safety Radio System, handling of the asset management, overseeing database management and oversight of radio service shop and technicians. Experience with microwave system maintenance and managing service contracts. Bachelor's Degree (or any equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities are acceptable), US Citizen, plus 2 yrs supervisory experience.
